“My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 155k miles was making some front end shuddering and felt like it was binding in slow sharp turns. About a year ago I took it into the dealer and had the transfer case fluid changed but after 1500 miles no change in the problem. I had 2 other mechanics drive my car and they hadn't any ideas on drivetrains. So after a year of driving with this situation, I stopped by Bucks 4 Wheeler on State St and explained the noise. Jeff said go get Mopar Anti Slip and a 10mm hex socket, pull the plug and pour the Anti Slip in which I did, drive it making sharp turns and see how it goes. If it still acts up go to Jim's Driveline on 41st Street. I made an appointment at Jim's and took my Jeep in. They said they will check it out and let me know. I had been on the Jeep Forums and was preparing for a viscous coupler/transfer case rebuild. Since adding the fluid, I had only driven about 40 miles mostly on highway so not "working" the transfer case. Just got a call from Jim's, they've been driving it and working the steering and the binding has been minimized. They said come pick it up NO CHARGE!!! I could go on about customer service these days but this shop has the credentials, the professionalism and the personality to keep their customer's confidence. I highly recommend both Jim's and Bucks for 4 wheel drive service. Thank you for your honesty!!!”
